    Our mission: rekindle the hope of life "Lifeline" is an international telephone counseling organization that extends caring and encouraging hands to those in need through 24/7 telephone counseling services, and takes effective actions to help those who attempt suicide regain the courage to live; guiding the lost and helpless to rekindle the fire of hope. The "Samaritans" telephone, first established in London, England in 1953, helps those with psychological distress through telephone counseling, and after its establishment, the local suicide rate significantly decreased, thus receiving royal recognition. "The Kinmen County Lifeline" was established on November 1, 2014, in Kinmen County, and is the 24th branch of "Lifeline" in the country. In addition to establishing a dedicated hotline service in 1995, it also undertakes the Kinmen County government's services for vulnerable and divorced families, youth suicide prevention programs, and community elder care programs.
